Steal a Monke Back to the game

Privacy Policy

Effective date: September 30, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Steal a Monke ("Steal a Monke", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects information when you play the Steal a Monke virtual reality game (the "Game") or visit stealamonke.com.

The Game is available on Meta Quest headsets to players who meet Meta's minimum age requirements. Younger players may use the Game only through a parent-managed Meta account.

Information we collect

We only collect what the Game needs to work:

We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, precise location or payment details. We do not record voice chat.

How we use information

We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.

Photon (multiplayer and voice chat)

Real-time multiplayer, matchmaking and voice chat are provided by Photon (Exit Games). To connect you to a room, Photon processes a session token and temporarily handles your IP address. Voice chat is sent live between players in the room and is not recorded or stored by us. You can read Photon's privacy policy.

Hosting

Saves and game services run on Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and secure the service. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Staff accounts

Members of our staff sign in to our staff dashboard with Discord. For staff only, we receive their Discord user ID, username and server roles to check they're allowed in. Players never sign in with Discord.

Children and parents' rights

We collect the minimum information needed to run the Game and do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents and guardians can at any time:

We take reasonable steps to confirm that a request really comes from the child's parent or guardian.

Data security

Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to our systems is limited to staff who need it.

Data retention

We keep your game progress so it's there when you come back, and delete it when you ask us to.

Deleting your data

To delete your saved progress or any other data we hold, or if you have questions about this policy, contact us at larplogan14@gmail.com. Tell us your in-game name and roughly when you last played so we can find your save.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page and take effect when posted. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
